It has recently come to the attention of the development team that many customers are experiencing a service restart problem with the NCover Windows service when they reboot their machines. The symptom reported is that when rebooting a server or desktop, the NCover service does not start. Usually the failure is reported as service start time out.
We’ve released an important update to NCover this morning that solves this issue for all affected customers. Please check for software updates and install the latest release if you are experiencing this issue.
It is possible to manually solve the problem without an upgrade using the “sc” utility. The following command will accomplish the same change to your service.
>> sc config “ncover” depend= HTTP
NCover can be downloaded manually from the following location http://ncover.com/download
