Whether you have been a member of the .NET community for ten years or ten days, we solve some amazing problems together. We wanted to take a moment to salute two inspiring problem-solvers that are always looking for new and innovative ways to enhance our community. Thanks you two!
Jamie Dixon
Jamie Dixon has been writing code for as long as he can remember and has been getting paid to do it since 1995. He was using C#and JavaScript almost exclusively until discovering F# and now combines all three languages for the problem at hand. He has a passion for discovering overlooked gems in data sets and merging software engineering techniques to scientific computing. When he codes for fun, he spends his time using the .NET Micro framework with Netduinos and the Kinect.
Jamie has a BSCS in Computer Science and has been a MCSD since 2001. He is the Chair of his town’s Information Services Advisory Board and is an outspoken advocate for Open Data. He also is involved with his local .NET User Group (TRINUG) with an emphasis on data analytics, machine learning, and the internet of things (IoT).

Francesco Abbruzzese
Francesco’s favorite approach to developing is an analytic approach – disregarding his own personal preferences and looking for the most advantageous technology in a given situation. Recognized as an MVP for the first time this year, he has enjoyed the preferential access to technological information and being able to see the impact of his work in the community.
One way Francesco interacts with the community is through his blog. Check out an analysis he performed on the advantages and disadvantages of using JavaScript in a web application, and follow him on Twitter @F_Abbruzzese.
